HEA Rejects D 158 Last, Best and Final Offer

According to the newspapers, more than 400 of the approximate 450 union members who attended the meeting voted to reject the offer. No vote was taken on whether or not they would strike, and the two sides are set to meet Wednesday night to try to find common ground.

Bongo just doesn't get it. Don't the teachers realize that what they're being offered far outpaces what anyone else is getting right now? Don't they realize what a strike would do to this community? Do they care?

Here is the Daily Herald story, and here is the Northwest Herald story about Tuesday's vote. The comments are interesting for both.
