Larry Snow, who was quoted in the Saturday Daily Herald as saying, "I haven't focused any time or thought on it [running], to tell you the truth," was in line at 7:30 am Tuesday to file paperwork to run for reelection to the District 158 school board.
Not only was he in line at 7:30, Bongo hears that Snow filed for both the two-year and the four-year positions. Furthermore, Snow didn’t pick up his nominating packets from the school district, which is the normal way in which candidates (at least those who have nothing to hide) obtain information to run for office. He pulled his packet from a web site so that no one would know he was running until Tuesday.
Haven’t focused any time or thought on it? OK Larry. Whatever you say.
Snow will have to withdraw from one of the races within the next two weeks. Bongo’s guess is that he will wait to see who files for the two and four-year seats and then choose the one where he thinks he has the best chance of winning.
Bongo has a juicy steak for anyone who signed Snow’s petition or talked with Snow about his devious plans before he pulled his Liar, Liar Pants on Fire with Jameel of the Daily Herald.
Interestingly, Linda Moore, whose campaign was bankrolled by Snow two years ago, was not in line to file with her mentor and political ally. It remains to be seen whether Moore will try for a spot on the school board again. Currently, she has thrown her hat into the ring for the Grafton Township Supervisor post. Politically speaking, it tends to be political suicide for a candidate to run for two seats at the same time. But that’s another post for another day.
Snow must be hoping that voters have short memories. Either that, or he must be counting on another low voter turnout by parents. But rest assured, Bongo will be around for the next few months to remind humans of the ridiculous behavior of Snow over the last four years.
