Just when we all thought it was safe to read our Northwest Heralds again, twice in the same week our eyes were assaulted by the infamous head shot of Larry Snow.
Come on Tom Musick, have you forgotten that Snow likes seeing his picture in the paper more than a doggie likes a jucy steak bone? Why is it that when things are going well in District 158, the newspapers all of a sudden start tuning in to Snow's rants? Oh yeah, controversy sells papers.
Today's rant appeared in a story about the slowing of enrollment in District 158. The enrollment slow-down is a direct result of the sluggish housing market due to the current economy. So why isn't the Northwest Herald talking about how the housing slow-down has affected all of the area's growing school districts? Why just pick on D 158?
Oh yeah, Snow calls the reporters regularly with his self-serving agenda items, and this time Musick took the bait.
Bongo has a suggestion for Snow: Since you clearly can read the future as if you had a crystal ball, why don't you go to work for the US government as an analist? You would get to see more of your brother John Snow... Oh, that's right. He's not really your brother... You just told people that to make yourself look important.
Bongo will close with this little tid-bit: What if D 158 hadn't built all four schools in 2004? Are we in a position today where we didn't need one of them? Are they all not bursting at the seams with kids? Have we not had to add additions already since 2004 to handle the influx of kids? Was it not Snow himslef who earlier this week said the fund balances were important to have so that teachers could be hired, short term borrowing could be avoided and interest could be earned?
Nice try, Larry, but as usual, your theory has more holes in it than the sock I cut my puppy teeth on.
