Introducing Banjo Seacrest (Bongo's Cousin)

Bongo would like to introduce his cousin, Banjo Seacrest. Banjo is a music countdown host of a very popular Top-Dog radio station, and when he heard about the popularity of Bongo's lists of songs, he offered his services.

So from time to time Banjo will make guest appearances to share lists of songs with Bongo's readers.

So here are Banjo's Top Ten Songs that Could Describe the Current State of Union Negotiations in District 158:

10. "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne (the mode of transportation used when the union negotiators traveled to the administration building to present their initial request for 35% increases in compensation)

9. "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits (“Pay us lots more for doing lots less”)

8. "Adult Education" by Hall & Oates (what the union negotiation team needs since they obviously can’t do the math which proves what they’re asking for is more than what’s available)

7. "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama (what its shaping up to be since neither side is budging)

6. "Just Can’t Get Enough" by Depeche Mode (…money in their new contract, that is)

5. "Shameless" by Garth Brooks (unreasonable demands, refusal to follow the rules they agreed to, and other current behavior by the union negotiation team)

4. "Matter of Trust" by Billy Joel ( see Christy Henderson “liar liar pants on fire” cartoon from Feb. 7 and "in the dog house" cartoon from June 6)

3. "Wouldn’t it be Nice" by The Beach Boys (wouldn’t it be nice if the union played by the rules they agreed to when the negotiations began?)

2. "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme" by ABBA (more money, money, money)

1. "No Reply at All" by Genesis (what the district receives when they ask the union for their portion of the progress press releases)

OK now, last time Bongo's inbox was inundated with additional song titles, so let's see them! The really good ones will be posted!
