Its Official: Stewart is Out; Dave Jenkins Chosen as Interim Replacement

Bongo was going to take a much deserved day off today because he has been very busy posting every day.

But when I pawed through my Northwest and Daily Heralds this morning (click on the image to make it larger), I saw the news I thought was inevitably coming... Glen Stewart has resigned. The details surrounding the resignation are being kept quiet.

At Thursday's school board meeting, after a lengthy closed session, the board voted 4-2 to accept the resignation and compensation package for an administrator. Board President Shawn Green was absent. Snow and Seedorf voted "no". While there's no doubt they were thrilled to see yet another name crossed off their "list," they apparently opposed the compensation package for Stewart. Bongo was watching, but couldn't see the high fives that were undoubtedly taking place behind the wall of the left end of the board rail.

This is significant. District 158, one of the largest school districts in the county, now has interim employees in two of the top three posts. The increased workload on Dr. Burkey must be overwhelming. An interim CFO is helping with the fiscal services load and an interim chief operations officer who has never held the position will be learning on the job. Bongo believes Dave Jenkins will do a good job as COO, but the learning curve ahead of him is undeniable.

Bongo wonders who they will set their sights on next? There are, after all, a few administrators left who haven't been part of the District 158 carnage. Bongo also wonders how much more administrative turnover will have to take place before the community wakes up to the "destroy and dismantle" agenda that appears to be driving the Snowdorf political machine.
