Daily Herald Draws Attention to Administrative Carnage in District 158

Okay, smack my paw. Bongo fell behind again with his newspapers.

The story above (click on it to make the image larger) was published on April 26 in the Daily Herald and it points out a very serious issue in the district… the emerging inability to hire and retain top-notch administrators. As the story aptly points out, the administrative offices have a revolving door when it comes to keeping administrators on the job.

“Since 2005, the district has had three superintendents, four finance chiefs and three heads of operation.” states the article. The article fails to list all of the assistant principals and teachers who have also left since 2005. It reminds Bongo of the John Grisham book “The Firm,” when it is pointed out to an eager and young Mitch McDeere that he might want to think twice before taking a job at the law firm of Bendini, Lambert & Locke since the mortality rate among its associates is unusually high.

Bongo would imagine that any “Google” search of District 158 would be enough to scare any right-minded job candidate away, and any who actually take the job... its harassment, micromanagement and negativity until they can't take it anymore.

But what bothers Bongo about this article is that Jameel Naqvi of the Daily Herald continues to look the other way when it comes down to pointing a finger at who is to blame for the administrative carnage in District 158. Former Comptroller Stacie Talbert told many people, Bongo included, that Larry Snow was directly responsible for her decision to leave the district. Why wouldn’t Jameel mention this in the story?
