Bongo has a "Lightbulb" Moment

For a very long time now, Bongo has pondered one of life’s biggest questions…

Why the heck does Larry Snow do what he does and what is his eventual goal or purpose?

Honestly. The man has no kids in District 158 schools and never did. He’s not a former educator who wants to share his expertise. He doesn't work collaboratively with the finance experts on the staff and on the board to make sure the budgets are the best they can be. He doesn't applaud the great things that are happening in the areas of curriculum. He doesn't limit his work to the creation of policy and support the administration in their roles of implementing the policies. He doesn’t go to school events to see the kids at their concerts, plays, athletic events, etc. He doesn’t go to DARE graduations and Bongo has never seen him at high school graduation.

All Larry Snow does is complain, file frivolous complaints with state's attorneys, call the newspaper reporters with negative story ideas, and keep a negative light on District 158.

He doesn’t get along with anyone other than the select few who follow him blindly and without question. Those who dare to disagree with him find a permanent place on an ever-growing “hit-list” of people Snow attacks at public meetings and through his friend Cal’s blog. All of it is quite humorous, really. Snow’s “hit-list” has become a long and distinguished list of the “who’s who” in McHenry County. Nearly every elected official and community volunteer is on this coveted list, and it has become a well known fact that if you’re on Larry’s list, you must be doing something right.

So what can he possibly hope to accomplish by stooping to whatever negativity is necessary to keep his name and face in the news?
