Bongo's last Top Ten List had me howling with laughter. Scroll down this page to read the Top Ten Things You'll Never Hear at a District 158 Board Meeting.
This time, Bongo is exploring the reasons why people should check out a school board meeting in person (figuratively, in my case).
The Top Ten Reasons Why You Should Attend a District 158 School Board Meeting
10. Because of the newly installed pop machine outside of the board room, board meeting attendees no longer have to drink from the faucet in the bathroom.
9. Where else can you see a three-ring circus for free admission?
8. Its fun to sit in the crowd and count how many times you hear, “Mr. Snow you’re out of order!”
7. Two words: Shock Value.
6. If you’re in luck, Cal Skinner might take your picture and post it on his blog.
5. You won’t have to wait until the next day to find out what happened by reading it on Bongo’s blog.
4. In icy weather you can see first hand what a good job the new snow removal company is doing. (Tovar)
3. It’s fun to count the number of times Mr. Snow opens his pop cans into his microphone while others are speaking.
2. Since closed sessions before the meetings typically run way over, you’ll have plenty of time to meet and talk with your kids’ principals, make grocery lists, balance your checkbook, etc.
1. Watching how Snow and Seedorf treat the paid employees is enough to make all of us appreciate our own jobs!
